As there is a growing demand for AIAG CQI standards we started developing a website with specific information about the process-relevant standards CQI-9 (Heat Treat System Assessment), CQI-11 (Plating System Assessment), CQI-12 (Coating System Assessment), CQI-15 (Welding System Assessment), CQI-17 (Soldering System Assessment) and CQI-23 (Molding System Assessment).

Rhein S.Q.M. will of course offer consulting and operational support during implementation of the CQI standards. But furthermore our range of services will also involve the performance and documentation of the CQI self assessments and company-specific in-house trainings.

“CQI” is an acronym for „Continuous Quality Improvement” und stands for a series of process-specific requirements which have to be fulfilled in the automotive supply chain in case the customer requires it (see “customer-specific requirements” as appendix of ISO/TS 16949). This not only concerns the T1-level but the whole supply chain. Originally the requirements existed only on the part of North American OEM. Due to their high-level process orientation as well as their high degree of concretisation and their practicability the CQI standards gradually extend to the entire automotive industry.

Estimated date of going live with the new CQI website will be in mid December 2014.

Do not hesitate to contact us for further information on the CQI standards.
